On the occasion of its annual meeting, the CIRAD Fruit and Horticultural Crops Department (Cirad-flhor) held a one-day professional meeting on the subject of fruit conservation and processing.

Attended by researchers and private and political partners, it was aimed at:

  • presenting research results concerning post-harvest conservation and processing (mainly for juice) to agri-industrialists. In order to meet industry expectations, innovative processes were presented that enable the preservation of nutritive and organoleptic qualities and the commercial potential of fresh fruits and juices;

  • highlighting a number of research questions and setting up exchange between scientists and the users of research results.

Scientists hosted industrialists from the north and the south, trade operators and political officials.
